KENSHŌ BOUTIQUE HOTEL & SUITES – THE MEDIA DARLING

THE CHALLENGE
Opened for the first time ever in June 2016, Kenshō Boutique Hotel & Suites is a brand new luxury hotel in Mykonos, Greece, that appointed us to represent and promote their property in the UK. Our ultimate goal was to generate awareness through positive and influential media coverage within the UK market using an original, creative approach.

THE STRATEGY
In order to get the media talking about Kenshō, a key part of our strategy involved creating a series of press releases to showcase the property’s USPs. To this extent, we first prepared and distributed a press release focused on the launch of Kenshō, followed by a release on the hotel’s unique interior design and architecture. Next, we wrote a press release featuring the hotel’s world-class gastronomy, compliments of renowned chef George Stylianoudakis.

Another priority of ours was to ensure that media were continuously updated on Kenshō developments, so we created an online newsroom to serve as a hub for interested parties to find information and source materials.

Throughout the rest of the year, we set up one-to-one coffee meetings and lunches with influential leaders of industry to further enhance awareness of Kenshō among key media outlets. Along with this, we organised exclusive press trips to the property in the summer season with the top-tier targeted media, which not only resulted in fantastic coverage but also in building a rapport with media attendees.

Finally, we were delighted to promote Kenshō as the “best design hotel in Mykonos” following its win of the Audience Award from 100% Hotel Design Awards.
